I started my medical Cannabis journey after disaster left me with few other options.  One fateful Friday afternoon in the foothills around Horsetooth reservoir I fell 40 to 50ft when an unstable edge slipped  away,  I landed on a flat slab of rock...  quite abruptly.  That abrupt stop left me with 2 broken legs and severe damage to the bottom several vertebrate in my back.  I spent over a week in the hospital and the next several months in a wheelchair.  It was a rough recovery but I am lucky the damage wasn't any worse.

That accident changed my views on the potential to use Cannabis as a treatment beyond 'end of life' conditions.  Considering even aspirin causes several thousand deaths a year, it became apparent that a person did not have to suffer from a fatal disease to want to see the benefit and risk reduction of using THC or CBD treatments.  I witnessed the potential for medication, even when properly prescribed, to have potential side effects worse than the issue they were meant to treat.  I wondered why a person wouldn't try cannabis before escalating to potentially dangerous or life threatening treatment and or pills/medication.  In my own life, after years of following the "doctors orders" I  removed myself from the cycle of prescription drugs as I slowly replaced recommended pharmaceuticals with different forms of cannabis as treatment.

And that is when it struck me...  I have to get the word out!

While it seemed so obvious to some, most people were not making this easy choice simply because they had not been educated, and so I decided to start teaching.  Haven't looked back.
